Terms of Service

Sagmal provides short scripted scenes for rehearsing real-life German out loud (for example Bürgeramt Anmeldung and Ummeldung). Partner and choice lines may play as pre-generated audio where available, or with your browser’s built-in German text-to-speech as a fallback. Scenes are practice material only. They are not legal, immigration, housing, medical, or administrative advice. Requirements at real offices and institutions vary by city and change over time. Features and available scenes may change as we improve the product.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

You must provide accurate registration information (including a valid email), verify your email before starting a scene when you register with email and password, and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. If you use Google sign-in, Google’s terms also apply to that authentication method.

Sagmal is free to use at launch. There is no paid plan, subscription, or in-app purchase at this time. If we introduce paid features later, we will update these Terms and describe pricing clearly before charging.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal activity, fraud, spam, or attacks on others.
• Abuse signup protection, bypass Cloudflare Turnstile, or create accounts with automated tools.
• Submit automated or bulk rehearsal attempts, scrape the service beyond normal use, or interfere with other users.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or probe the service beyond normal use, except as permitted by mandatory law.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service and other users.

The service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be early or experimental. Capacity may be limited. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

Sagmal branding, website, scene scripts, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your personal practice under these Terms.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Practice scenes do not guarantee outcomes at real offices or institutions. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded (including under mandatory German consumer protection rules), our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for breach of these Terms or as required by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected where they cannot be waived.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, except where mandatory law requires a different process.
